SPOT Production Assistant Michelle Ailport is investigating how sexual assault and safety affects students' college searches.

During this time of year, many teens are navigating their senior year of high school. They’re anticipating their lasts: last football game, last assembly, last prom, last day of school. The most exciting part of graduating has to be the firsts: first acceptance letter, first day of college.

However, the prospect of firsts holds darker meaning. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 50% of women report experiencing their first incident of intimate partner violence between 18 and 24 years old.

Please take a moment to share your thoughts on this important subject to help inform Michelle's story. We'd love to hear from student, parents, teachers -- anyone who has experience applying to college.
